Thrill Seeker

Audiozone

Edition | BGF5 2025

Thrill Seeker is a music video game set in a suspended past, inspired by 18th-century Cremona, where the great tradition of violin making was born. The project was created with the aim of promoting Cremonese violin making, recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage, through an immersive experience that combines rhythm and hand-drawn illustrations. At the heart of the game is an innovative rhythmic mechanic: the player moves in sync with the soundtrack, and the entire game world follows the beat of the music. The player’s actions generate real–time notes and sound fragments taken from traditional Cremonese string instruments, making the gameplay a form of live and interactive musical performance. All of this is integrated into a visually evocative 3D world that blends historical Italian architecture and imaginary settings.

Audiozone, a production studio with over 13 years of experience in audio design, music composition, and the development of innovative sound technologies, has managed the technical and creative direction of complex projects, including “Cremona Quartet,” a sound library developed in collaboration with Native Instruments and einstruments, based on the original sounds of Stradivari, Amati, and Guarneri instruments. The project gained international visibility thanks to publications in The New York Times and CNN. Audiozone has created commissioned music and sound design for commercials, movie trailers, music software, and video games, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, brands, and cultural institutions.
