The winners of the first two editions are in Cologne today, August 23rd, and tomorrow, August 24th, for Europe’s largest video game event

Bologna, Aug. 23rd, 2023 – After the exciting experience at the Game Developers Conference, the most important event dedicated to videogames that took place in March in San Francisco, and the successful participation at First Playable in July in Florence, Bologna Game Farm teams are ready for Gamescom 2023, the most important event of the year at the European level dedicated to videogames, which this year takes place from Aug. 23 to 27.

The teams, which are part of the Italian collective at Gamescom 2023 organized by Agenzia ICE (Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Enterprises) and MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) with the collaboration of IIDEA (Italian Interactive & Digital Entertainment Association), are present at the fair during the first 2 days of the event: today, Wednesday, August 23rd, and tomorrow, Thursday, August 24th.

Among the winning teams of the first edition we have Dreambits Studio, Green Flamingo and Magari while, directly from the second edition-whose acceleration path ended in May-we find all 4 winning teams with their original projects: Farafter by Giant Cog Studio, Monster Chef by Studio Pizza, Handmancers by NonStudio, Ryoko by Kodama Studio.

Accompanied as usual by Ivan Venturi, coordinator of the acceleration program and, on this occasion, also by Sara De Martini, from the Municipality of Bologna as project manager of Bologna Game Farm, the teams will once again have the opportunity to get in touch with industry professionals and realities related to the world of videogames: companies, publishers, independent studios, specialized media, to draw interesting ideas for new projects and identify possible development opportunities for their prototypes.

The participation at Gamescom of the teams from the first and second editions demonstrates once again Bologna Game Farm‘s strong commitment to follow and support the selected projects on their growth even once the acceleration program is over, with the aim of creating opportunities that may then lead to real collaborations.

Bologna Game Farm is the project for the development of the videogame industrypromoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Bologna, coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and implemented with ART-ER as part of the actions to support cultural and creative industries, in collaboration with IncrediBOL! and with the technical support of IIDEA – Italian Interactive & Digital Entertainment Association.
