The Culture and Creativity Department of the City of Bologna is issuing a call for applications to make 13 municipally-owned properties available for free use by entities operating in the cultural, artistic, and creative sectors.
This initiative is part of a plan of action promoted by the City of Bologna to actively support the city’s cultural system, with a view toward urban regeneration. The properties may be used as artist studios, workshops, and spaces for contemporary creativity, contributing to the revitalization of specific areas of the city by bringing these spaces to life on a daily and ongoing basis.
Eligibility Requirements for Beneficiaries
The following may participate in the call for proposals:
Associations, private social institutions, and other third-sector entities operating in the cultural, artistic, and creative fields.
Businesses and independent professionals operating in the cultural, artistic, and creative fields.
Applicants must be up to date on their social security contributions (DURC) and have no outstanding debts or serious violations with the City of Bologna (Tari, local taxes, etc.).
Evaluation Criteria and Duration
Submitted projects will be evaluated based on the quality of management, their potential to have a positive impact on the local area, and their economic sustainability over a three-year period. Bonus points will be awarded to those who have previously participated in the “Incredibol!” and “Bologna Game Farm” programs. The concession will have a duration of 4 years, with the possibility of renewal for another 4 years.
