The second edition of the Call for game development in Emilia-Romagna kicks off

Game developers from Emilia Romagna have a new opportunity to grow their projects. In fact, the second edition of Bologna Game Farm is now online, the project for the development of the videogame sector promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Bologna, coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna as part of the actions to support cultural and creative industries in collaboration with IncrediBOL! and ART-ER S.Cons.p.A and created with IIDEA – Italian Interactive & Digital Entertainment Association.

Through this call, 4 contributions of 30,000 euros and a tailored acceleration program are made available to develop video game projects and define an adequate marketing strategy by IIDEA professionals. The headquarters of the accelerator is at the ART-ER Greenhouses, a space dedicated to innovative startups and hub of the regional ecosystem to support business creation.

The second edition of BGF is launched on the occasion of First playable, the main Italian event dedicated to the videogame industry, which will see the debut in front of potential publishers of the 4 video game winners of the pilot edition launched last year, Spanky’s Bat-a-Swing , by Green Flamingo, Basket Party by Orbital games, Flagship by Magari and Gladiator’s Wheels by DreamBits Studio.

The goal of BGF is to encourage the strengthening of managerial and entrepreneurial skills of the gaming industry in Emilia-Romagna, to increase awareness of the importance of this field for the economic growth of the regional production system and to develop relationships between the videogame sector and the regional ecosystem of innovation, favoring intersections with other fields.

The BGF2 call is available on the websites www.bolognagamefarm.com, incredibol.net, culturabologna.it and expires on the 11th of October 2022.

A presentation event is scheduled for Tuesday 19 July at 7.00 pm at the Serre dei Giardini Margherita.
